I am extremely happy to say that we have some new additions to the ever-useful ACORN directory. Now, along with listings of certified organic farms in Atlantic Canada, you can find a large selection of farmers’ markets in the region. Although, like everything, it is a work in progress, there is plenty of information if you are looking to pick up fresh local organic food or arts and crafts from local artisans, hoping to catch some music and community fun, or want to sell your goods.
On a similar note, we are also in the process of adding Atlantic Canadian community gardens to the directory. It is coming along nicely, but if you know of a garden feel free to email me at mattsarty@acornorganic.org and we’ll add it to our list.
